Health, Safety & Environment
Our uncompromising commitment to the protection of our people, your cargo, and the world's oceans.
The Zero-Harm Philosophy
"Safety is not a metric to be measured; it is a moral obligation we owe to our crew, our partners, and the environment."
At GLORY TANKERS PTE. LTD., safety is the foundational core of our operations. We operate a strict "Zero-Harm" philosophy, ensuring that every voyage, towing operation, and port maneuver is meticulously planned to prevent accidents, injuries, and environmental impact. We believe that all incidents are entirely preventable through proactive risk management, advanced telemetry, and continuous crew training.
The Three Pillars of Our Policy
Occupational Health
We prioritize the physical and mental well-being of our seafarers. This includes strict adherence to MLC 2006 guidelines, rigorous fatigue-management protocols, regular medical screenings, and providing high-quality nutritional provisions aboard all vessels.
Operational Safety
Driven by our comprehensive Safety Management System (SMS). We mandate digital pre-voyage risk assessments, daily toolbox talks, and a universal Stop Work Authority empowering every crew member to halt unsafe operations instantly.
Environmental Protection
Going beyond compliance. We utilize advanced voyage optimization to reduce carbon intensity, strictly manage on-board waste, and operate a zero-tolerance policy for unauthorized discharges into the marine environment.
Zero-Spill & Environmental Stewardship
We recognize the severe impact of marine pollution. GLORY TANKERS mandates a strict zero-spill policy across our entire fleet, supported by heavy investments in technology and training.
-
Secure Bunkering Operations
All bunker transfer operations are supervised by certified senior officers using closed-loop systems, spill containment booms, and automated leak detection to eliminate the risk of operational discharge.
-
Emissions Reduction (Decarbonization)
In strict alignment with IMO targets, we utilize low-sulfur marine fuels (VLSFO) to heavily reduce SOx and NOx emissions, alongside Hull Performance Monitoring to reduce drag and improve fuel efficiency.
-
Ballast Water Management
To prevent the transfer of invasive aquatic species, our ocean-going barges and tugs are equipped with IMO-approved Ballast Water Treatment Systems (BWTS).
Emergency Readiness & Global Compliance
Preparation is our strongest defense. We maintain a relentless training schedule and adhere to the world's strictest maritime frameworks.
Crisis Management & Drills
Our crews undergo rigorous monthly crisis response simulations covering fire fighting, abandon ship, man-overboard, and emergency towing scenarios.
Furthermore, GLORY TANKERS maintains active, retained partnerships with global Tier-1 Oil Spill Response Organizations (OSROs) to ensure rapid, coordinated deployment of containment resources in the absolute worst-case scenario.
